The Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) has introduced the Indiana Management of Agriculture Enhancements Cost-Share Program (IMAGE) to support soil and water conservation efforts in southwest Indiana.
Launched on July 1, 2026, the program is backed by $500,000 from the Clean Water Indiana fund and aims to assist agricultural producers in implementing conservation practices.

Impact & Risks

The program is expected to benefit agricultural producers in 23 counties across southwest Indiana by reducing the financial burden of implementing conservation practices. It also aims to improve soil health and water quality, which are critical for sustainable farming and environmental protection. However, the program's success depends on producer participation and effective implementation of conservation measures.
