In response to severe flooding and waterlogging in Odisha, the district administrations of Jajpur and Bhadrak have announced the closure of schools and Anganwadi centres on August 21,
In Jajpur, 313 schools across eight blocks, including Binjharpur, Jajpur, Bari, Dharmasala, Dasarathpur, Badachana, Korei, and Rasulpur, will remain closed. Similarly, in Bhadrak, 205 schools and 265 Anganwadi centres in four blocks—Bhadrak, Tihidi, Dhamnagar, and Chandbali—will also be shut. The closures are precautionary measures to ensure the safety of students and staff amid the ongoing flood crisis.
