• The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert for several regions in India. Conditions are becoming favourable for the withdrawal of the Southwest Monsoon from parts of West Rajasthan around 19 September
• Meanwhile, widespread rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad on 17 September. Similar weather patterns are forecast for Northwest India, including Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Punjab, during the same period. Additionally, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu are likely to experience significant rainfall and thunderstorms between 17 and 21 September.

The forecasted weather conditions may lead to disruptions in daily life, particularly in regions expecting heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
