The flash floods have caused widespread destruction in Nepal, particularly in Rasuwa, Dhading, and Nuwakot districts. Houses, roads, bridges, and government buildings have been damaged or washed away, severely disrupting transport and connectivity in the affected areas. Hydropower infrastructure has also been heavily impacted, with around 430 MW of generation capacity affected. Casualty figures remain fluid, with at least 95 confirmed dead and over 500 people missing, including 133 Indian nationals. The mountainous terrain and high water levels are complicating rescue operations, and authorities are monitoring downstream rivers for potential impacts in India.
