The delayed onset of winter has resulted in above-normal temperatures across West Bengal. Kolkata recorded a maximum temperature of 31.04°C on November 2, slightly above the normal 31°C, while the minimum temperature was 25.02°C, 2.03°C above normal. High humidity levels, ranging from 67% to 95%, have added to the discomfort. While Bengal is not expected to face direct impacts from Cyclone Murasu, the cyclone has triggered heavy rainfall in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu, with a red alert issued for coastal areas in these states.
