Additionally, Etawah, Auraiya, and Jalaun are likely to experience heavy rainfall on September 4 and 5, while widespread rain is expected across Banda, Fatehpur, and other districts from September 5 to
• Thunderstorms and lightning are also anticipated in both western and eastern UP, with rain warnings in place until September 6.

Impact & Risks

The heavy rainfall is expected to cause waterlogging, a sudden rise in river and stream levels, slippery roads, and potential disruptions to transport and power supply. Residents in low-lying and flood-prone areas are particularly at risk. The Met office has also warned of thunderstorms and lightning, which could pose additional hazards to people outdoors.
