Coastal communities in Southern California are at risk of strong winds, flooding, and life-threatening surf conditions due to Hurricane Rachel. Inland areas may also experience gusty winds and urban flooding. NOAA has warned that swells generated by the storm could create dangerous rip currents. Rainfall of up to an inch is expected in parts of Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside counties, which could lead to flash flooding in some areas.
