• Exceptionally high tides, forecasted to reach 7.5 to 8 feet along the Los Angeles and Orange County coastlines, are raising concerns about coastal flooding, beach erosion, and property damage.
• The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a coastal flood warning for these areas through 1 p.m.

Impact & Risks

Low-lying coastal areas, including harbor walkways, beach parking lots, and bike paths, are at risk of minor flooding. Severe flooding and property damage are possible in areas with little or no sandy beach or where previous high tides have already caused damage. Coastal rail services are disrupted, and residents in vulnerable areas are advised to prepare for potential impacts.
