Cyclone Arnab Weakens, Rain Subsides in Uttar Pradesh
IN · Published Nov 2, 2026
• Rainfall across Uttar Pradesh has significantly reduced as Cyclone Arnab and a western disturbance have weakened, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Lucknow.
• Daytime temperatures are expected to rise by 4-6°C over the next three to four days, while night temperatures may drop by 2-4°C.

Impact & Risks

The weakening of Cyclone Arnab has brought an end to the recent spell of rain in Uttar Pradesh, leading to a rise in daytime temperatures. However, the drop in night temperatures and the possibility of light to moderate fog in some areas may pose challenges for early morning commuters. The reduced rainfall is expected to result in drier conditions across most parts of the state, which could impact agricultural activities and water availability in the coming weeks.
