Minnesota is bracing for another round of severe weather on Wednesday afternoon following overnight storms that caused significant disruptions.
According to CBS News Minnesota, the first wave of storms brought heavy rain, with some areas receiving over half an inch, and left more than 52,000 residents without power, particularly in Ramsey County.

Why It's Important?

The severe weather poses risks of property damage, power outages, and potential injuries due to large hail, strong winds, and tornadoes. Overnight storms have already caused significant damage, including uprooted trees and overturned boats on Lake Harriet. Residents in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin are particularly at risk, with the Twin Cities also remaining under threat. The storms could disrupt travel, outdoor activities, and essential services, especially in areas already affected by power outages.
