The IMD has warned of potential localised waterlogging and flooding in low-lying and urban areas, which could disrupt traffic and transport. Weak trees may be uprooted, and poorly maintained structures could sustain damage. Rough sea conditions along the Konkan coast pose additional risks, and landslides or rockfalls are possible in vulnerable areas. Palghar, Nandurbar, and the Nashik ghats are at higher risk, with forecasts of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds of 40-50 km/h. Other districts, including Thane, Raigad, Dhule, Jalgaon, and parts of Vidarbha, are also expected to experience significant rainfall and thunderstorms.
