The primary risk is localized flash flooding in Nemaha and Marshall counties, Kansas, as well as parts of Colorado under the flood watch. Low-lying areas, rivers, creeks, and urban locations are particularly vulnerable. Rainfall rates of up to 2 inches per hour are possible, with some areas potentially receiving over 1.6 inches of rain in just a few hours. The Weather Prediction Center warns of isolated to spotty instances of flash flooding, which could disrupt travel and pose risks to property and safety.
