Afghanistan's Minister of Agriculture, Mawlawi Attaullah Omari, has called for India's cooperation to modernise the country's agricultural, livestock, and irrigation sectors.
Speaking at a PHDCCI event in New Delhi, he highlighted the need for advanced technologies to replace traditional farming methods, which currently engage 80% of Afghanistan's population.

Impact & Risks

This collaboration could significantly improve Afghanistan's agricultural productivity and economic stability, benefiting its largely agrarian population. For India, it presents an opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties and expand its influence in the region. However, political instability in Afghanistan and potential security concerns may pose risks to Indian investments and partnerships.
