North Texas is bracing for another stretch of hot and humid weather, with heat indices expected to remain in the triple digits.
According to CBS News, temperatures on Wednesday, June 10, will reach the mid-90s°F (35°C), but the high humidity will make it feel even hotter, with heat index values ranging from 100°F to 105°F (38-41°C).

Why It's Important?

The high heat and humidity pose significant risks, particularly for vulnerable populations such as the elderly, children, and those with pre-existing health conditions. Heat-related illnesses, including heat exhaustion and heat stroke, are a concern. Outdoor workers and individuals engaging in physical activities should take extra precautions to avoid overexertion. Pets and animals are also at risk in these conditions.
