The storm poses significant risks to residents along the Gulf Coast, particularly in southern Alabama, the Florida Panhandle, and parts of Mississippi. Coastal flooding, long-duration power outages, and wind damage are expected. Areas such as Pensacola Beach and the Gulf Islands National Seashore are at high risk for storm surge. Heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding, with 4 to 8 inches (10 to 20 centimeters) of rain expected inland. Tornadoes may develop in affected areas, further increasing the danger.
