Eastern Indian states such as Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, and parts of central India are particularly vulnerable to heavy rainfall from these systems. The slow movement or stagnation of these disturbances can lead to cumulative rainfall, increasing the risk of flooding in affected areas. Coastal and inland regions may also experience enhanced rainfall due to the orographic effect, which occurs when moist air is uplifted over terrain.
