The broader severe weather outbreak across Western and Central New York included tornado warnings for 29 counties, with reports of wind gusts up to 70 mph (113 km/h) and quarter-size hail. Communities in northeastern Niagara County and western Orleans County were under a tornado warning at the time. While no injuries or fatalities were reported, the storm caused considerable tree damage and posed risks to property and infrastructure.
