• South Florida's east coast, from Palm Beach County to the upper Florida Keys, is under a coastal flood warning due to king tides, which are exceptionally high tides. The National Weather Service (NWS) Miami-South Florida office has warned of major coastal flooding from Monday, October 26, through Wednesday, October
• Tidal water levels along the east coast are expected to exceed the 'Minor Flooding' threshold and may approach the 'Major Flood' threshold later in the forecast period. Additionally, a wind advisory is in effect for metro and coastal areas of Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties, with northeast winds of 20–25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph. These conditions could lead to downed tree limbs, unsecured objects being blown around, and potential power outages.

Impact & Risks

The coastal flood warning affects areas including West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Homestead. Residents in low-lying areas are at risk of property damage due to saltwater intrusion and flooding. Vehicles parked in these areas may also sustain damage. The wind advisory poses additional risks, such as falling tree limbs and power outages, which could disrupt daily activities. The combination of high tides and strong winds may exacerbate flooding and create hazardous conditions on roadways.
