Impact & Risks

The forecasted weather changes may bring risks of lightning and gusty winds, particularly in districts such as Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar, and coastal Odisha. A Yellow Alert has been issued for these areas on October 7 and 8, warning of light to moderate rain, lightning, and wind speeds of 30–40 km/h. While no heavy downpours are expected, residents are advised to remain cautious during severe weather events, especially during lightning and thunderstorms.
