Students in Jharkhand have been protesting for 20 days against alleged irregularities in recruitment exams conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).
The protests, led by the JPSC-JSSC Reforms Manch, are taking place at the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi.

Impact & Risks

The ongoing protests have disrupted normalcy in Ranchi and other parts of Jharkhand. The agitation has drawn attention to alleged corruption and irregularities in the recruitment process, affecting thousands of job aspirants. The situation has also led to political tensions, with the BJP accusing the Hemant Soren government of suppressing the movement, while the Congress has accused the BJP of politicizing the issue. The health of hunger-striking protesters, including JLKM leader Devendra Nath Mahto, remains a concern.
