The extreme heat poses a significant risk of heat-related illnesses, particularly for vulnerable populations such as the elderly, children, and those with pre-existing health conditions. The elevated overnight temperatures will limit relief from the heat, increasing the risk of heat stress. Sensitive groups, including individuals with lung disease, older adults, children, and outdoor workers, are at higher risk of adverse health effects.
