The rainfall deficit has implications for agriculture and water resources in Himachal Pradesh. Rising temperatures, currently ranging between 30-34°C in the plains and 22-26°C in mid-hill areas, may exacerbate water stress. The state has reported 274 deaths during the monsoon season, including 110 rain-related fatalities due to landslides, drowning, and other causes. Infrastructure damage has been significant, with losses estimated at ₹1,242.73 crore. Restoration efforts are ongoing, but blocked roads, disrupted power supply, and water shortages remain challenges, particularly in Mandi, Sirmaur, and Kangra districts.
