Increasing Himalayan Disaster Risks Highlighted by SANDRP

The South Asia Network on Dams, Rivers and People (SANDRP) has raised concerns about the growing risks of Himalayan disasters.
Recent events, such as the Rasuwa floods in Nepal-Tibet caused by the collapse of hanging glaciers due to melting permafrost, exemplify the increasing frequency, intensity, and spread of such risks.
