A fast-moving spring storm is set to bring a mix of wind, rain, and snow to the Truckee-Tahoe region, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect for Lake Tahoe through 2 p.m.
Tuesday, with wind gusts expected to reach 35 to 45 mph.

Why It's Important?

The storm poses risks of slick and slushy roads, particularly on Wednesday morning, which could lead to hazardous driving conditions. Lightning and small hail may also pose localized threats to outdoor activities. The strong winds could create choppy conditions on Lake Tahoe, making boating and other water activities dangerous. Residents and visitors in the region should prepare for rapidly changing weather conditions and potential travel disruptions.
