• A strong upper-level storm system is bringing rounds of showers and thunderstorms to northeastern Oklahoma, including the Tulsa metro area, through Thursday.
• A Flood Watch is in effect until Thursday afternoon for several counties, including Pawnee, Osage, Washington, Nowata, Craig, Ottawa, Rogers, Creek, and Tulsa.

Impact & Risks

The heavy rainfall poses a risk of flooding in rivers, creeks, streams, and low-lying areas prone to water accumulation. Residents in the Flood Watch area should remain vigilant, as runoff could lead to hazardous conditions. Occasional severe storms may also bring strong winds and localized damage. The cooler weather following the cold front will bring gusty northerly winds of 20–35 mph, which could impact outdoor activities and travel.
