Strobe lightning occurs when electrical charges in the atmosphere discharge rapidly and repeatedly. This is often due to turbulent air currents within a thunderstorm, which cause the separation and movement of positive and negative charges. The rapid discharge of these charges results in multiple flashes of lightning in a short period.
