Thunderstorms and lightning pose significant risks during the Dussehra season. The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) advises farmers, agricultural workers, and cattle herders to stay alert and avoid open spaces during thunderstorms. Taking shelter under trees or near electric poles is particularly dangerous. Residents are encouraged to stay indoors and ensure their homes are secure against heavy rains and potential flooding. Awareness and preparedness can significantly reduce risks during such weather events.
