Cloudbursts occur when warm, moist air rapidly rises due to orographic lift, which happens when air is forced upward by mountain slopes. As the air ascends, it cools and condenses, forming dense clouds. If the atmospheric conditions prevent the clouds from dispersing, the accumulated moisture is released suddenly as torrential rain. This phenomenon is often exacerbated by climate change, which increases the frequency and intensity of such events.
