As the monsoon retreats, southern India, including Kerala and Tamil Nadu, often experiences isolated heavy rainfall. Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds are common in these areas, as well as in parts of the northeast like Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland. Coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep may also see widespread rain, while Konkan and Goa remain hot and humid.
