Monsoon allergies often cause sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, itchy eyes, and a dry cough. These symptoms are persistent but do not usually make you feel unwell overall. Chest infections, however, bring fever, chills, a cough with thick mucus, chest tightness, and fatigue. Fever is a key differentiator, as allergies rarely cause it while chest infections almost always do.
