How Is Wind Chill Calculated?

Wind chill is calculated using a formula that takes into account air temperature and wind speed. The formula is: WCT = 35.74 + 0.6215T − 35.75(V^0.16) + 0.4275T(V^0.16), where T is the air temperature in degrees Fahrenheit and V is the wind speed in miles per hour measured at a standard height of 10 meters. The result, known as the wind chill temperature (WCT), represents how cold it feels to exposed skin.
