The Development Innovation Lab – India (DIL-India) is at the forefront of using AI to improve monsoon onset forecasts. Collaborating with climate scientists, AI experts, and economists, DIL-India develops and disseminates these forecasts to farmers. Their work has already reached millions, including a notable initiative by the Indian Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, which distributed AI-based monsoon forecasts to 38 million farmers. This effort has become a model for using advanced technology to support vulnerable populations in adapting to climate change.
