A study published in the journal PNAS has found that the record-breaking warm winter of 2025-2026 in the Western United States was approximately four times more likely due to human-caused climate change.
Researchers, including scientists from the University of Wyoming, used advanced climate models to analyze snow water equivalent (SWE) data and atmospheric conditions.
