• Severe thunderstorms are moving east-northeast toward the Wausau area in Wisconsin, bringing the potential for damaging winds up to 70 mph, quarter-size hail, and a brief tornado, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Wood County and western Marathon County until 3:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday, June 10,
• The storms were located along a line from Thorp to Neillsville to northeast of Millston as of 2:30 p.m., traveling at 45 mph. Affected areas include Spencer, Marshfield, Abbotsford, Pittsville, Wisconsin Rapids, and Lake Wazeecha, among others. A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for much of Wisconsin, including Marathon and Wood counties, until 7 p.m. Wednesday.
