The rice leaf folder is an insect pest that affects paddy crops by folding and feeding on the leaves, which can hinder photosynthesis and reduce yield. According to Dr Satish Kumar, Assistant Plant Protection Officer, this pest was observed in paddy fields across Yamunanagar district, affecting 50-60 acres of crops. However, the recent intermittent rainfall has significantly reduced its impact, allowing the crops to recover.
