Tragic deaths during Easter egg hunt in Germany
A tragic incident unfolded in northern Germany as high winds led to a fatal tree collapse during an Easter egg hunt, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including a 10-month-old infant. The event was taking place near Satrupholm, where around 50 people from a residential facility for new mothers, pregnant women, and children had gathered. A large tree, approximately 30 meters tall, fell onto the group, trapping four individuals. A 21-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl died at the scene, while the infant later succumbed to injuries in the hospital. An 18-year-old woman was also seriously injured and airlifted to a medical facility. Prior to the incident, the German weather service had issued a high winds warning for the region.
