A late-season cold storm is bringing an unseasonable chill to the Northwest and Rockies, with snow expected in many areas. From Wednesday through Friday, the western U.S. will experience a significant temperature drop, ranging from 10–25°F below normal. Snow levels are predicted to fall as low as 1,500–2,000 feet in the Cascades, impacting regions of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. Several inches to a foot of snow are anticipated in these areas, leading to hazardous travel conditions, particularly in mountain passes.
