The Alabama Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) is collaborating with Climavision to enhance severe weather detection across the state. This partnership addresses gaps in radar coverage, especially in areas underserved by the National Weather Service’s NEXRAD system. Climavision has deployed three new weather radars to provide more detailed and accurate monitoring of severe weather conditions, particularly at lower altitudes. This initiative aims to modernize weather readiness and ensure comprehensive situational awareness for emergency managers.
