Weather delays LIDO Festival in Victoria Park
The LIDO Festival, scheduled to be held in Victoria Park, has been significantly delayed due to weather-related issues affecting the park's condition. Organizers have cited an unusually wet winter as the primary cause, which has disrupted an extensive reseeding and improvement program. As a result, several festival dates have been canceled, including a highly anticipated performance by Euro-Country singer CMAT. This decision follows previous challenges faced by the park during last summer's festivals, where drought conditions led to dust issues. To avoid similar problems and ensure the park's recovery, organizers have chosen to allow the newly improved areas more time to recover before proceeding with the festival program.
