Earthquake swarms hit Iceland's geological hotspots
Iceland is currently grappling with a persistent earthquake swarm affecting two of its most geologically dynamic regions: the Reykjanes Ridge and the Bárðarbunga volcanic system. The seismic activity, which commenced on Saturday, has continued unabated, with multiple tremors surpassing a magnitude of 2.0. The most notable earthquake reached a magnitude of 3.0 and was located approximately 1.8 kilometers northwest of Geirfugladrang, a group of sea stacks situated off the southwestern coast of Iceland.
