Victoria Peak in Hong Kong is facing significant environmental challenges due to climate change. According to HDI Risk Consulting (HRC), the steep terrain and intense rainfall are causing geological instability, leading to an increased risk of landslides, especially on the northern slopes composed of weathered granite and sediments. These slopes become unstable when saturated, particularly during extreme rainfall events, posing a threat to infrastructure and safety.
