Low snowpack threatens Idaho agriculture irrigation season
Farmers in southern Idaho, especially in the Treasure Valley, are bracing for a tough irrigation season because of very low snowpack. Richard Durrant, a farmer in southwest Idaho, calls it one of the worst water years he's seen. The area's farming depends a lot on irrigation water from mountain snowpack that fills reservoirs like Lucky Peak, Arrowrock, and Anderson Ranch.
