Federal Disaster Aid Announced for Washington After December Storms

FEMA aid supports recovery from severe weather
Federal disaster assistance has been approved for Washington state in response to severe weather events that occurred from December 5 to 19, 2025. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that the aid will support recovery efforts for damage caused by severe storms, straight-line winds, flooding, landslides, and mudslides. The presidential disaster declaration unlocks federal funding for affected individuals and communities in several counties, including Chelan, Grays Harbor, King, Lewis, Pacific, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, Thurston, and Whatcom.
