Oahu prepares for heavy rain and winds
Oahu is preparing for severe weather, with forecasts predicting heavy rain and strong winds. In response, Governor Josh Green has ordered the closure of all non-essential state departments on Oahu, allowing employees not involved in disaster response to stay home. The City and County of Honolulu will also close its non-essential offices, granting administrative leave to employees not part of emergency operations. Public facilities such as schools, the Hawaii State Judiciary, University of Hawaii campuses, and public charter schools will also be closed to ensure public safety.
