Heavy snow, winds, and dangerous travel conditions
A severe late-season winter storm is currently battering the western United States, unleashing heavy mountain snow, fierce winds, and perilous travel conditions. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued widespread winter storm warnings spanning the northern Rockies and Pacific Northwest. Accumulations of snowfall are anticipated to reach between 1 and 2 feet across the most exposed mountain ranges, including regions of Montana, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska.
