Disaster proclamation issued for five Iowa counties
Following severe weather events this week, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has issued a disaster proclamation for Buchanan, Clay, Henry, Palo Alto, and Plymouth counties. This action enables residents in these counties to access the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program, which provides financial assistance up to $7,000 for households earning up to 200% of the federal poverty level. The funds are intended to help cover expenses related to home and car repairs, replacement of personal property, food, and temporary housing.
