In the wake of severe flooding caused by back-to-back Kona storms, the North Shore community in Hawaii has demonstrated remarkable resilience and unity. According to Hawaii Public Radio, Waialua horse trainer and ranch owner Tyler Smith recounted his experience of rescuing horses from the flooded paddocks at Dillingham Ranch. The flooding began just before midnight last Friday, prompting Smith to rush to the ranch. Upon arrival, he found the area inundated with water, forcing him and other horse owners to wade through chest-deep waters to save the animals. The community's swift response and collective effort were crucial in managing the crisis.
