Wildfires are currently wreaking havoc across the southeastern United States, with Georgia and Florida being the hardest-hit states. In Georgia, the Brantley County fire has led to the destruction of nearly 50 homes, prompting widespread evacuations. The state is facing one of its most severe fire seasons in recent history, with over 31 square miles already consumed by flames. Similarly, Florida is battling numerous wildfires, with 131 active fires scorching 34 square miles, especially in the northern regions. Firefighters are struggling to contain these blazes, which are exacerbated by a prolonged drought, low humidity, and strong winds.
