Strong winds and stormy weather expected in Iceland
Iceland is bracing for strong northeasterly winds as a substantial low-pressure system moves in from the southeast. The Icelandic Met Office predicts that these winds will intensify throughout the day, with the most severe conditions expected overnight. The Öræfi region, located beneath the Vatnajökull glacier in South Iceland, is anticipated to experience particularly strong winds, leading to stormy weather. The northeast, however, should see lighter conditions.
