Severe drought grips Colorado, water restrictions imposed
Colorado is currently facing a severe water crisis characterized by record-low snowpack levels and unusually high temperatures in early spring. Nearly half the state is experiencing extreme drought conditions, the most severe level seen in April in over two decades. This situation has prompted major cities to implement early water restrictions, urging residents to conserve water, especially for outdoor use. The dwindling snowpack, a crucial water source for the state, combined with temperatures soaring to 80°F to 90°F in March, has strained water resources.
